Maybe they were commiserating over not making Penelope Cruz’s dinner party. Or maybe comparing bangers and mash recipes in person. Why else would these two be seen coming out of dinner at Craft?
The reality isn’t quite as fun as the speculation. It was a charity dinner auctioned off by the former President to raise money for the Clinton Foundation. Reportedly Mario Batali, David Chang, and Tom Colicchio personally made the meal.
I had a Tom Colicchio-directed meal before. My first duck confit, at Craftsteak Las Vegas the night Obama was elected president. The atmosphere was kind of sterile but, for carnivores, the food was divine, if you’re a carnivore. The company doesn’t really interest me but I would have suffered through for that meal. Maybe.
